Location: UA92, Greater Manchester

Contract: Fixed Term (September – April)

Hours: 5-6 hours per week with the need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team with matches, training

Days: Monday & Wednesday 

Salary: £3,000 (for the full contract)

We’re looking for a visionary Men’s Football Head Coach to lead our club, drive performance, and shape the future of football at UA92.

The Role

You’ll take the reins of our Men’s Football programme overseeing three BUCS squads, leading 1st team matches, and embedding a performance-focused and inclusive culture. Your leadership will empower student-athletes, develop aspiring coaches, and build a high-performing, supportive environment.

Whether you’re designing dynamic sessions, coordinating your coaching team, or supporting players’ personal development this is your opportunity to build something special.

 What You’ll Do

• Lead weekly training (Monday evenings TBC) with a focus on performance, progression, and club values
• Coach the Men’s 1st team in BUCS competition and mentor assistant/student coaches across all squads
• Coordinate match-day preparation, selection, and team management
• Support players with regular feedback and access to S&C, goalkeeper coaching, and performance analysis
• Drive recruitment, engagement, and visibility through trials and events
• Help shape the long-term vision of UA92 Football with our Football Development Officer and student committee

 What We’re Looking For

• UEFA B Coaching License (minimum)
• Experience coaching in a performance-focused, multi-squad environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of getting the best out of players
• Commitment to inclusivity, player wellbeing, and development on and off the pitch
• First Aid and Safeguarding certificates (or willingness to obtain)

Bonus if you have:

• Experience in BUCS competition or Higher Education sport
• Experience managing coaching teams or using digital tools for analysis
