When is Welcome Week?
Welcome Week starts on the 11th of September. We strongly advise you attend all of your induction sessions in your Welcome Week timetable. Block 1 of teaching starts on Monday 19th September. You can find semester dates here.
Will there be organised activities during Welcome Week?
100% yes! We have a busy schedule of social and induction activities planned for you. These events will help you settle in, familiarise yourself with your new surroundings and make new friends, so it’s really important that you attend. The Welcome Week events kick-off on Sunday 11th September. See here for more details.
Can I meet my classmates before I start?
We encourage you to join our UA92 Welcome Facebook group to start connecting with your classmates before you arrive. We’ll also be posting useful information to help you prep for your arrival and what to expect when you get here.
When will I know if I am an AM student or PM student?
Your academic timetable will be sent to you via email at the end of August. This will let you know if you are an AM or PM student i.e. you will be studying from 9am-1pm or from 2pm-6pm. This will help you organise your other commitments around your studies. Keep an eye on your emails for further info.
Can I join a sports club?
We have a growing number of sports clubs and a timetable of social sport and physical activity. You can find out more about how to join at our Welcome fair during Welcome Week.

How Do I Register As A Student?
Registration is a vital part of becoming a UA92 student. The process consists of online registration and check-in.
Your invitation to begin the registration process will be sent via email from Lancaster University. The email will contain your username and password for the registration portal. This will be sent to the email address you used on your application. If you no longer have access to this email address you should update your UCAS account immediately.
You will be required to check-in with the registration team, in person, during Welcome Week or when you arrive on campus.
