WHAT IS AN ACCESS
TO HE COURSE?

SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO PREPARE MATURE STUDENTS FOR UNIVERSITY LEVEL STUDY, THESE COURSES ARE DELIVERED BY EXPERTS FROM TRAFFORD COLLEGE AT OUR CAMPUS IN OLD TRAFFORD.
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF AN ACCESS TO HE COURSE COULD LEAD YOU ONTO A UA92 DEGREE COURSE, AWARDED BY LANCASTER UNIVERSITY.

HOW IT WORKS

Through lectures and group work, independent study, and academic research you will be able to master key business management or sports management principles and gain practical skills valued by employers and higher education institutions alike.
Our timetable is straightforward and gives you the opportunity to gain a qualification whilst continuing your daily commitments like managing family life or juggling work.
Our industry-inspired connections and approach mean that you’ll get equipped with the academic skills and professional knowledge to support your future career.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

You must have achieved GCSE English and Maths at Grade C / 4 or above to qualify for one of our Access to HE courses.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The fees for the course are £3,022. Fees are due at enrolment, and an instalment plan is available should it be required.

Learners aged 19+ may be eligible to take out an Advanced Learner Loan for the tuition fees however the registration fee cannot be included; this must be paid by yourself.

For learners going on to successfully study a degree, then the amount for the Access to HE loan will be written off.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL I STUDY?

Both courses consist of 30 weeks of full-time study. Learners will study at the UA92 campus, based in Old Trafford.

HOW IS THE COURSE ASSESSED?

Assessments include essays, practical reports, case studies, open or closed book examinations and verbal, visual and/or IT-based presentations.

All modules will include an element of the time-constrained assessment which will contribute towards the final module grade.

WHAT COMES NEXT?

Learners who successfully complete the Access to Higher Education Diploma in either Business and Management or Sports Management are guaranteed an offer to study on a UA92 degree course.
