Hours: Mondays 18:30-20:00 & Wednesday afternoons depending on fixtures

UA92 is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Netball Head Coach to lead our netball club, established just two years ago and already making strides in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Northern Tier 9. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and develop our team as they navigate the competitive landscape of BUCS from September to April.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a friendly and dedicated coach who can cater to all skill levels and ensure an exceptional experience for our netball players. Your role will be crucial in fostering team growth, developing individual player skills, and promoting netball within and outside the university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching & Development: Lead and deliver structured netball coaching sessions every Monday evening in Stretford from 18:30-20:00.
- Match Day Commitment: Attend all fixtures, both home and away, on Wednesday afternoons (Home matches in Stretford; away matches across the North West).
- Welcome Sessions: Organize and lead start-of-term welcome sessions to engage new and returning members.
- Team Selection: Collaborate with the team captain to select players for BUCS fixtures.
- Promotion & Recruitment: Actively promote netball at UA92, assist in the recruitment and retention of club members, and help develop sponsorship and commercial partnerships.
- Player Support: Provide feedback, support Strength & Conditioning (S&C) and fitness sessions, and identify potential Sport92 talented athletes and TASS Dual Career players.
- Regulation Compliance: Ensure adherence to BUCS rules and regulations, and assist the captain with match day preparation.
- Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional development to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.
- Club Development: Support the overall development of the netball club, working closely with Sport92 staff on events and other initiatives.
- UA92 Advocacy: Represent and advocate for UA92 at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Up-to-date First Aid and safeguarding qualifications (or willingness to obtain them).
- Minimum Level 2 coaching qualification.
