21% of UA92 Students are from disadvantaged communities
Around 250,000 young people are living in poverty in Greater Manchester. The cost of going to university and the financial pressures this can put on students, and their families, can be overwhelming.
UA92 are on a mission to make sure EVERYONE has an opportunity to maximise their potential. The Bursary 92 fund will give young people, from disadvantaged communities, a chance to continue their education, unlock their greatness and change their future.

Our aim is to have 50% of our student population from the most deprived areas of Greater Manchester.
Bursary 92 has received generous support from partners across Greater Manchester. The Moulding Foundation has pledged support for 25 students from Greater Manchester with £10,000 grants over the next three academic years.
We need more individuals and organisations to support our mission by providing bursaries of £10,000. This amount would make a huge difference to one student over their 3 years of study.

Foundation 92 (F92) is the official Charity of Salford City FC and was formed by the Class of 92. F92 is an independent registered Charity which works throughout Greater Manchester, using the power of sport to improve the lives of those less fortunate, through the provision of education, mentoring, youth work, sport, physical activity and health improvement provision. University Academy 92 (UA92) is a joint venture between Lancaster University and several individual shareholders drawn from former Manchester United footballers’ ‘Class of 92’ and their associates. UA92 shares the values that underpin F92 and focuses on the provision of education services and awards that have been shaped with business partners’ input, that meets the skills gaps that are being flagged by Greater Manchester businesses and as such improves the viable long term employment prospects of those who are less fortunate. F92 is creating the Bursary 92 fund pursuant to its objectives and is partnering with UA92 who will provide the education provision. All gifts to Bursary 92 will be administered by F92. 100% of the donations to the Bursary 92 fund will be used to benefit the students attending UA92. Foundation 92 is a registered charity (No 1180246). 100% of all donations to the Bursary 92 fund will be used to benefit the recipients of the Bursary 92 fund bursaries.
