GET INVOLVED

  • STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME

  • Apply to become a student ambassador! This is a paid role and is flexible meaning you can choose when you want to work. Student Ambassadors assist with various events on and off campus throughout the year. This includes offering support, encouragement, and advice to prospective students, families, and supporters. This role provides a range of opportunities to build your skills and experience throughout your university experience.

To apply to be an ambassador you need to fill in an application form. Applications open on the 11th of September 2023 and close on the 25th of September 2023. You will then be invited to take part in an assessment session. If appointed a role, full training will be provided.

  • STUDENT CONTENT CREATORS

  • We are looking for students with aspirations to develop their digital and social media skills to become UA92 Student Content Creators. Working with the marketing team to bring the UA92 student experience to life across our social and communications channels.

As a Student Content Creator, you will share your experiences as a UA92 student through video, photography, blog posts and other forms of digital content. We will provide training and there will be regular content planning sessions where we work collaboratively to generate ideas.

Over the past year our student content creators have created some great pieces of video content, blog posts and even interviewed the likes of Clive Tyldesley and the Class of 92. If you’d like to get involved, we will have a stand at the Welcome fair where you can get more information on how to join

  • SPORT92 ROLES

  • Sport92 are always on the lookout for student volunteers, whether it’s getting involved behind-the-scenes in a club or helping run some of our Get UActive sessions.

We can help volunteers with various CPD opportunities, such as coaching or officiating qualifications. It’s also a great way to develop new skills and meet people across UA92.

We also employ a student as our ‘Match Day Coordinator’. This role helps ensure the smooth running of our Wednesday BUCS fixtures and is a paid opportunity. Students will need to apply and go through a short interview process.

Meet some of the Students Involved

"During my time as a Student Ambassador at UA92 I have learnt a lot about myself, the University and many of my peers ambitions and aspirations for their careers.

I’ve also been able to improve my social skills when interacting with future students and explaining my story and why I was so glad that I chose UA92. During Open Days at UA92 I was able to get across my story and allowed others to understand what it was like for me choosing to attend a university so far away from home.

These experiences as a Student Ambassador opened me up to life changing experiences that allowed me to grow and achieve more than I could’ve imagined even in my first year. Meeting people from all backgrounds and hearing their stories and trying to engage with them so that they are aware of how UA92 could be the best option for them helped my appreciation of what I could potentially be achieving as a Student Ambassador."

Ewan Macleod Student Ambassador

“Ever since becoming a student ambassador, it has allowed me to develop myself and most importantly develop my own skills as a person, such as communication and working effectively in a team. This opportunity has also allowed me to help out at numerous events ranging from open days, school visits, hospitality events and outreach sessions with potential applicants.”

An Do
Student Ambassador

“Over the past year of being a student ambassador I have achieved things I never thought I would be able to. From leading open days with future students to taking part in student panels. The development in my confidence is due to the exposure of these situations through being a student ambassador. Public speaking always used to fill me with anxiety however over the past year of continuous experience in these situations has made it seem normal. Being a student ambassador also opens many doors that wouldn’t be possible without this opportunity, i met my current internship employer through student ambassador work through UA92 which I am always grateful for. I highly recommend taking part in this role!”

Jake O'Sullivan Student Ambassador

“Being a student content creator has allowed me to not only film and publish some really cool things, but to help me further my skillset alongside my degree. My confidence with presenting and writing has skyrocketed over the last year! I’ve interviewed the likes of Clive Tyldesley, Liam Livingstone and even the Class of 92! I could not recommend throwing yourself into it enough!”
