Breaking down barriers in the community
UA92 are on a mission to support young people across Greater Manchester. Whether it’s dispelling myths around higher education, building skills and confidence or simply helping them achieving their dreams. We’re determined to improve the lives of young people throughout the region.

UA92 Youth
UA92 Youth aims to support UA92’s overarching ambition of making higher education accessible to all, regardless of postcode or background. We do this by raising aspirations, building confidence, and providing opportunities and experiences that inspire and educate.
We realise higher education may not be for everyone, so we’re supporting young people on achieving any goals they wish to achieve.

UA92 Youth Fest
With various engaging sessions to help build confidence, raise aspirations and provide opportunities that inspire and educate, our summer school supports young people on achieving any goals they wish to achieve – whether that’s through education or employability.
This week long programme will give young people a productive start to the summer. We’ll be running sessions on creating CV’s, developing employability skills, getting creative with fun projects, and working very closely with some of our industry partners such as: BBC, JD Sports & South Manchester Credit Union.
Supporting Manchester Caribbean Carnival
The vibrant Manchester Caribbean Carnival is an annual event sponsored by UA92. With almost 60,000 attendees, the two-day free event is a family friendly celebration of community, heritage, and music taking place in the heart of the community at Alexandra Park, Manchester. Festival-goers can enjoy traditional Caribbean delights like jerk chicken, curry goat, plantains, and fresh patties. Every year UA92 Community Team support carnival organisers to ensure this much-loved event continues to be a must-go event on Manchester’s festival calendar.
Beat the Odds
UA92 want to raise aspirations and break down barriers to higher education. Our annual celebratory event, Beat The Odds, is dedicated to the successes of those who have overcome challenges in their childhood to ‘Beat the Odds’ and achieve greatness. This inspirational and uplifting event invites young people in the care system to hear from inspirational guest speakers who share their stories and advice on how to beat the odds.
