WHAT DO I NEED TO PAY FOR?

All students pay tuition fees to study at university – this covers things like teaching, facilities and support services. The cost can vary depending on your university or whether you are a UK or international student. See below for current prices. If you decide to move away from home, you may have additional outgoings such as accommodation and living costs.

*UA92 will review tuition fees each year. For UK students if Parliament permits an increase in tuition fees, UA92, along with other HEIs in England, may increase fees each year using RPI-X, subject to the maximum fee limits set out in regulations.

WHAT OTHER SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE AT UA92?

UA92 has several grants that you might be eligible for. For further details, please check out our fees and financial support page here. We also have a student hardship fund available.

WHAT IS THE UCAS APPLICATION FEE?

Applying for 2026 entry? Before you can send your application to UCAS, you will need to pay them a fee of £28.95 for up to five choices.

You may be exempt from this fee if you are eligible for free school meals. Find out more here.

For those applying to start university from September 2027, you might be exempt from the fee if you are a care leaver in the UK under the age of 25 (or 26 in Scotland). Find out more here.

WHY ARE ACCELERATED DEGREE FEES CHANGING IN JANUARY 2027?

From 1 January 2027 the government replaces annual tuition fee limits with a per-credit system under the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE). Under the new rules, your fee reflects the number of credits you study per year, so an accelerated course year carries a higher annual fee than a standard course year.

For all UK students starting an accelerated degree in January or April 2027 , your annual tuition fee will be £14,000. UA92 reviews tuition fees each year. The maximum we are permitted to charge under the new rules is £14,685, and we have set our fee below that.

If you start an accelerated degree in September or November 2026, your fee remains £11,750 and you will apply for student finance under the current system for the duration of your course.

DO I HAVE TO PAY ANY OF THIS MYSELF?

No. If you are eligible for funding from Student Finance England, you can apply for a tuition fee loan that covers the full cost of your fees, exactly as you could before. The loan is paid directly to UA92, so there is nothing to pay upfront and no part of the fee you need to find yourself.

The change to fee limits does not affect what you pay while you study. You repay a tuition fee loan based on what you earn after you graduate.

DOES THE SAME APPLY TO STUDENTS FROM WALES, SCOTLAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND?

Our fees are the same for all UK students, so if you start an accelerated degree in January 2027 or later, your annual tuition fee is £14,000 wherever in the UK you live.

What differs is the funding available to you. The Lifelong Learning Entitlement applies to students funded by Student Finance England. If you are funded by Student Finance Wales, the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) or Student Finance NI, you will continue to apply through your own funding body under its own rules, because student finance is set separately by each UK nation.

The maximum tuition fee loan available for an accelerated degree varies between funding bodies and can be lower than the fee for the course. Please check directly with your funding body what tuition fee loan you would be entitled to before you apply.

IS AN ACCELERATED DEGREE STILL MORE AFFORDABLE?

You complete your degree in two years rather than three, therefore you will save on both your tuition fee costs and living expenses. Opting for the accelerated degree means lower fees, , one less year of accommodation, travel and everyday living costs, and you start earning a year earlier. Tuition fee loans and maintenance support are available.

DOES UA92 OFFER ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ACCELERATED STUDENTS?

Yes. If you live in an area of high deprivation (IMD2019 Quintile 1), you could receive a payment of £3,000 to support your studies. If you’re aged 17-20 and received free school meals, you may also qualify for our Make it for Real package, worth £5,000. Find out more about our bursaries.
