Media is everything. It’s not just a camera and an elaborate lighting set up. It’s your phone, it’s the laptop you have. It’s being able to use the tools you have to tell the stories that exist on your doorstep. At UA92, we’re passionate about telling local stories through local eyes.
Studying a media course at UA92, you will use a hands-on, practical approach to learn the skills and knowledge you need to have successful career in the industry. Our media degrees provide real-world experiences from leading organisations, and our teaching team offer insights from years of experience in the industry, working for broadcasters such as BBC and CNN.

What qualifications do you offer?
UA92 offer a range of media courses, from 1-year Level 4 Certificate in Higher Education (Cert HE) to 3-year full bachelor’s degrees with honours.
Cert HE business courses offer an introductory level 4 qualification covering the fundamentals.
Full degrees awarded by Lancaster University, deep-dive into technical skills, as well as theoretical concepts to kickstart your media career.
Do you offer 2-year media degrees?
Yes! All of our media degrees can be studied across 2 years instead of 3. Choose a 2 year accelerated media degree and propel into your career faster and save money.

Where will I study?
The Old Trafford campus is based in Old Trafford in Stretford, on the doorstep of iconic sports venues such as Old Trafford Football Stadium and Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Only a short tram ride from the city centre, our Old Trafford campus is home to our media, digital and Sports students, with exciting facilities and comfortable study spaces.
What jobs can you do with a media degree?
A media qualification opens up many doors to an ambitious career in various industries. With the technical skills and theoretical knowledge you’ll gain on your course, you can pursue roles across broadcasting, journalism, public relations and social media.
Specific roles include broadcast journalist, news editor, TV producer, content creator, copywriter, public relations officer, videographer, communications officer, and many more.
