UA92 are offering full-funded places on their Skills for Life Bootcamps in order to fast-track much needed digital tech talent in Manchester.
Sales Manager, Ebuka Nwabueze, was curious about the Metaverse and wanted to learn more. So, he signed-up the free Skills for Life bootcamp in Metaverse and Virtual Reality to prepare for a future career-change.
This is Ebuka’s story:
“I graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature and have worked in Sales ever since. I managed to establish a good career but I knew my passion was somewhere else.”
“I’m fascinated with the Metaverse and the technology and innovation behind it. I don’t have a tech background, so I wasn’t sure how to start a new career in this field.”
“I started to look for tech bootcamps for beginners and I came across the UA92 website. I applied immediately and was excited to get started.”
“I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up. There were lots of new concepts and it felt like it would take a long time to fully understand.”
“However, my tutors were amazing and very supportive. They create an accommodating learning environment for people with limited prior experience.”
“I have learnt a great deal about the Metaverse and about working in the industry. As well as building technical skills, we also looked at employability and career development. It has been a great experience all round.”
“My goal now is to create a strong portfolio. The bootcamp has really sparked my curiosity and I’m more motivated than ever to learn more. I hope to find a position affiliated to the Metaverse in some way.”
“My tip for anybody thinking about doing a Skills for Life Bootcamp would be to choose a field you’re passionate about. It’s been hard-work but passion is what keeps you motivated to keep going.”
