Role: Estates Manager  

Location: UA92 Campus (Old Trafford M16 OPU & Business School M3 5FS (4 days per week on-site) 

Contract: Full-time, permanent 

Hours: 37.5 per week 

Salary: £42,000

To help us achieve this bold vision, we’re seeking an Estates Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring our campus environment is safe, inspiring, and future-ready. 

What you’ll do:  

• Lead the operational management of our estate, including buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. 

• Lead & champion health & safety across all sites, driving a proactive, preventative culture. 

• Oversee maintenance, compliance checks, and projects to keep the campus running seamlessly. 

• Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, value for money, and minimal disruption. 

• Support sustainability initiatives and environmental goals. 

• Collaborate with staff, students, and partners to ensure our estate reflects UA92’s innovative spirit. 

What we’re looking for:  

• Essential: NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher) 

• Proven experience in estates or facilities management (ideally within education) 

• In-depth knowledge of health & safety legislation 

• Organised, solution-focused, and able to juggle multiple projects 

• An effective communicator who can build strong relationships and foster collaboration across the university community.
