We are excited to announce the newest addition to our campus – the iconic Old Trafford stadium, home of Manchester United.
The stadium campus will become home turf for our students on Business of Football, Sports Management and Digital Marketing courses as well as providing occasional teaching spaces for other courses including Football Broadcasting and Journalism, bringing you closer to the action at one of the largest football stadiums in the UK.
The accelerated digital marketing degree course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the digital marketing industry. In just two years, you will learn about all aspects of digital marketing, from campaign planning and content strategy to influencer marketing and online community management. You will also develop your analytical and creative skills and learn how to use data and insight to inform your digital marketing campaigns.
Our 2-year BA (Hons) Digital Marketing accelerated degree has a strong focus on employability. As a graduate, you will be able to plan, execute and evaluate successful digital marketing campaigns, and be confident with contemporary digital marketing practices. Throughout your two years, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to work on real-world projects with some of our high-profile industry partners.

Your course modules
Module 1 - Principles of Marketing
This module introduces you to the core concepts of marketing and how they apply in the real world. You will learn about the marketing mix, market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and brand management. You will also explore the special challenges of marketing services in a digital age.
Module 2 - Marketing Research
This module teaches you the essential skills and knowledge needed to conduct marketing research and analyse market problems. You will learn about both quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as how to run and manage research projects. This will prepare you for a future career in marketing, product, brand, or advertising management.
Module 3 - Marketing Communications
This module teaches you how to develop and implement effective integrated marketing communications campaigns. You will learn about the different types of marketing communications tools, such as advertising, direct marketing, personal selling, PR, and publicity. You will also gain practical experience in applying these tools to real-world cases and exercises.
Module 4 - Writing and Design for Digital
This module teaches you how to create effective and engaging content for digital platforms. You will learn about the best practices for writing and designing for websites, e-newsletters, social media, and news articles. You will also gain an understanding of how content is consumed by target audiences and how to write and design for search engines.
Module 1 - Digital Marketing Toolbox
This module teaches you how to evaluate and use digital marketing tools to achieve your organization’s goals. You will be introduced to a range of technologies, used by digital marketing professionals, to gain valuable insights into customers, competitors and markets.
Module 2 - Content Strategy
This module teaches you how to create and optimize engaging digital content, including photos and videos. You will learn about the theory and techniques behind digital content creation, measurement, and optimisation.
Module 3 - Consumer and Consumption
This module introduces you to theories around consumer behaviour and the factors that influence consumers’ thoughts, feelings, identity, and actions. You will learn about the links between consumer behaviour research and marketing theory and practice.
Module 4 - Digital Campaign Planning
This module teaches you how to develop and implement effective digital marketing campaigns. You will learn about the different stages of the campaign planning process, from setting goals and objectives to selecting channels and measuring results.
Module 1 - Brand and Online Community Management
This module focuses on how to create and manage brands and online communities and help businesses build a loyal and profitable customer base. You will learn about brand identity and positioning, online community building and engagement, content marketing, social media marketing, and influencer marketing. You will also gain practical experience in managing real-world brands and online communities.
Module 2 - Digital Marketing Ethics
This module teaches you the principles and models of ethical decision-making for digital marketing. You will learn how to make ethical decisions in a variety of business situations, taking into account the impact on individuals, organisations, and society.
Module 3 - Contemporary Developments in Digital Marketing
This module explores new developments and trends in digital marketing. You will learn about the latest tools and technologies, and how to use them effectively to reach and engage your target audience.
Module 4 - Project
You will complete a final project to demonstrate your academic experience, knowledge, and skills. This project is an opportunity to apply what you have learned to a real-world problem or challenge.
What is the 92 Programme?
Alongside your subject modules, you will complete the 92 Programme.
Engaging with the 92 Programme is a requirement for all students and will count towards your overall grade.
In each block, you will take part in a number of Character and Personal Development focus days. During these focus days, you will complete activities designed to boost your mindset, develop your skillset and get you set for future career success.
Throughout the 92 Programme, you will develop skills in self-reflection and awareness, wellness and resilience and professionalism and employability, as well as upskill in different areas.
In a recent study*, 78% of employers believe graduates do not drive in the workplace fully equipped with the skills they need to be work-ready.

How is the 92 Programme assessed?
You will produce a learning journal that will document your experiences. This will be submitted at the end of each academic year (or level of study) to assess whether you have met the required standard to pass the module.

Digital marketing is a rapidly growing field and there’s high demand for skilled digital marketers in the UK and beyond. There are many different career paths available in digital marketing, so you can choose a role that’s a perfect fit for you. You can choose to specialise in marketing, search engine optimisation, social media, email marketing or paid advertising.

Business Lecturer
I’m Business lecturer at UA92 with an eclectic career history, showing a a path does not have to be straight. Previously I have worked as a manager in day centers for adults with autism and challenging behaviors, project-managed the construction of a swimming pool, and have ran a successful childcare business before transitioning to teaching. A proud mother of two grown daughters and a dog lover.
Emma Gaskill
Course Leader: Accounting and Finance
I have over 10 years of industry experience in various accounting roles and a BSc Hons in Business Law, Post Grad Cert in Education, and AAT Level 4 qualifications. I have been teaching in Accounting and Finance / Accounting and Business at UA92 for 4 years. My specialism lies in all areas of accounting, particularly taxation. I am a fully licensed accountant with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and run a successful accounting and finance business.
Jay Edwards
Lecturer in Digital Marketing
I have over 14 years of experience in the education sector, starting as a secondary school teacher and transitioning to higher education in 2023. My academic focus is on consumer behaviour, particularly in relation to minority communities in the UK. Since 2016, I have also worked in the industry, running marketing campaigns for non-profit events, hospitality, and global sports initiatives. Outside of academia, I serve as the Head of Marketing and an organiser for Southampton Pride, where I am dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. I am passionate about fostering an inclusive environment in both academic and community settings.
Kelly Henley
Head of Business
I have over 14 years of teaching experience in Higher Education. Before teaching, I was a HR Manager within the hospitality industry for a few leading brands. In 2009, I decided to take the leap and went back to university to get my teaching qualification at L7 Post compulsory Education. I have a passion for Teaching and Learning and am a big advocate for the students and supports students as a Course Leader for Business Management. My areas of expertise are Cross Cultural Management and Leadership. My current research interests are Strategic Leadership and HRM At UA92, as well as Course Leading. I am also the 92Programme Lead for the World of Business and the Lead for Teaching and Learning.

I’m a Manchester Metropolitan University Graduate with over 25 years in the sports and leisure industry, putting great focus on creating inclusive, accessible activities and spaces for all. As a lead for equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in Salford. I’ve managed community sports development teams and programmes, including redeveloping school and university sports facilities in Greater Manchester. I’m now a lecturer in Sport Business Management at UA92, passionate about inspiring and educating future sports leaders to champion diversity and community engagement in the industry. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and padel tennis.
Spencer Fearn
Course Leader: Sports Management
I have worked in the education sector for 30 years, leading companies in FE before making the change to work in HE two years ago. I have a varied career owning professional football clubs, manager / promoter in professional boxing and a director of a rugby union team. I also worked in the music industry for several years promoting house music events in England, Ibiza and Marbella! As well as working for UA92, I am a coach educator for the English F.A and own a private football academy where I coach boys and girls from the age of 7. Education-wise, I have 2 master degrees, 2 Johan Cruyff masters in Coaching and Sports management, Level 7s in Management and Strategic Management and am a WABC accredited executive coach. My big passion is football, and I am a long-suffering Sheffield Wednesday fan.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The standard entry requirements for the accelerated BA (Hons) Digital Marketing Accelerated degree course is 104 UCAS points. However, each application is assessed on an individual basis, taking into consideration a wide range of factors. Depending on your personal circumstances, and in line with our Contextual Admissions Policy, your application may still be considered if you have less than 104 UCAS Points. Alternatively, we have other courses that we can offer. Pass the IB Diploma with minimum 28 points overall, with 14 points from Higher Level Subjects.
